COVID-19 Rapid Testing

Detect your active COVID-19 infection quickly with our rapid swab test at Aed Urgent Care. If you are experiencing symptoms or have been in close contact with an infected individual, this diagnostic test is suitable for you. However, not everyone needs to be tested, so we recommend contacting your local Aed Urgent Care to determine if you require a COVID-19 test. Our medical professionals offer both virtual screenings and in-person consultations for your convenience.

Here are the services available at Aed Urgent Care:

  • COVID-19 tests, including the COVID-19 Swab Test and Rapid COVID-19 Test
  • COVID-19 Antibody Test
  • COVID-19 vaccinations
  • We provide socially-distanced and sanitized waiting areas for your safety.
  • You can also have a convenient phone screening with a doctor through AED TeleCare.

Understanding COVID-19 Test Results:

  • A negative test means the virus that causes COVID-19 was not detected in your system.
  • A positive test means the virus that causes COVID-19 was found in your system.
  • If you receive a positive test result, it is important to stay home for at least 14 days, isolate yourself from other family members, rest, and monitor your health. If you experience trouble breathing or constant chest pain, call 911.

Please note that no test is 100% accurate, and false positives and false negatives can occur.

Protect Yourself and Others:

  • Wear a mask and make sure it covers your nose and mouth.
  • Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, or use a hand sanitizer containing 60% alcohol.
  • Maintain a distance of two arm-lengths or 6 feet from individuals who do not live with you.
  • Avoid crowded places.
  • Consider getting a flu shot.
  • Get tested if necessary.
  • Get vaccinated to protect yourself and others.

At Aed Urgent Care, we prioritize your health and safety.

COVID-19 Rapid Testing

Q1: How does the rapid COVID-19 swab test work, and how quickly can it detect an active infection?

A1: The rapid COVID-19 swab test offered at Aed Urgent Care involves swabbing the nose and/or throat to detect an active infection. It provides quick results, allowing you to know if you have an active infection within minutes.

Q2: When should I consider getting a COVID-19 test at Aed Urgent Care?

A2: Aed Urgent Care recommends getting a COVID-19 test if you are experiencing symptoms or have been in close contact with an infected individual. However, it is advised to consult with the local Aed Urgent Care regarding the need for testing, as not everyone requires it. They provide both virtual screenings and in-person consultations with doctors to assist you.

How can I obtain the latest COVID-19 vaccine?

Receiving a COVID-19 vaccine is the most effective and safest measure to prevent severe illness. Similar to other vaccines, the COVID-19 vaccine instructs your body on building its own defense against the virus responsible for this disease. Typically, the COVID-19 vaccine consists of two doses, with the second dose administered 14 to 28 days after the initial one. It takes approximately three weeks after the final dose to develop immunity. Access to COVID-19 vaccination is subject to availability and regulations set by your state. Please reach out to us for further information on obtaining a COVID-19 vaccine.
