For many jobs, obtaining a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical or a pre-employment physical is a mandatory requirement. AED Urgent Care clinics make the process easy and convenient for employees. Our clinics are open seven days a week, with early morning and late evening hours, allowing employees to simply walk in without prior appointments.

Certified Medical Examinations for Commercial Drivers As mandated by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, AED Urgent Care provides DOT physicals conducted by Certified Medical Examiners (CME) following a strict process. Any individual intending to operate an interstate or intrastate commercial motor vehicle must pass a DOT physical. To ensure a comprehensive evaluation, we strongly recommend bringing a list of medications and any relevant cardiac or neurological medical records. Our CMEs take these health conditions into consideration during the examination. DOT physicals include assessments such as checking blood pressure, examining ears, performing a vision test, evaluating the mouth and throat for breathing or swallowing issues, conducting a neurological exam, checking for spine deformities, listening to the heart and lungs, performing urinalysis, and conducting a hernia check.

Walk-In Pre-Employment Physicals Pre-employment physicals are vital for both employers and employees. These complete physical exams ensure that new employees can meet the physical demands of the job and also serve to identify any undiagnosed health issues. AED Urgent Care offers walk-in pre-employment physicals that include a review of occupational and medical history, musculoskeletal examination, evaluation of the respiratory system, examination of the head, ears, eyes, nose, and throat, hearing and vision testing, and blood pressure check.

AED Urgent Care understands that improving the health and safety of your workforce is a priority. As a full-service occupational health provider, we alleviate the stress associated with establishing and managing your occupational health program. We recognize that one size does not fit all, so you have the flexibility to choose the services that work best for your company. AED Urgent Care does not require a contract, allowing you the freedom to grow and adapt as your business evolves.

How can I obtain the latest COVID-19 vaccine?

Receiving a COVID-19 vaccine is the most effective and safest measure to prevent severe illness. Similar to other vaccines, the COVID-19 vaccine instructs your body on building its own defense against the virus responsible for this disease. Typically, the COVID-19 vaccine consists of two doses, with the second dose administered 14 to 28 days after the initial one. It takes approximately three weeks after the final dose to develop immunity. Access to COVID-19 vaccination is subject to availability and regulations set by your state. Please reach out to us for further information on obtaining a COVID-19 vaccine.
